I'm really drawn to Asian antiquities and art. This wonderful Chinese wedding bowl dates around 1890 - 1900. The rooster represents marital fidelity. The rose, rooster and lotus motif are painted not underglazed. This is a characteristic of rose in famille pottery. I picked this piece to share with you because, Spring is tomorrow and romance is in the air. The season for weddings is here!
